Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day no matter if I was in a romantic relationship or not. I LOVE LOVE so to have a dedicated day to celebrate it is beautiful to me.
I dislike how romantic relationship centric our society makes Valentine’s Day. Society tries to teach us that the only love that matters is a romantic one. If you don’t have a partner on Valentine’s Day then you should be sad and hate the holiday and roll your eyes at every couple you see.
I don’t know about you, but I am in loving relationships with so many different people/things! With my mom, my grandma, my sisters, my brothers, my best friends, my soulmate best friends, my co-workers, the ocean, the universe, MYSELF, and yes, my boyfriend.
Each of these relationships are so valuable and I am so happy to celebrate that LOVE today, not just celebrating the love between my partner and I, but between everyone I’ve met whose life has touched me in some way, to every grain of sand at the beach, and to every breath I take.
Because in my opinion, LIFE is LOVE. And when we start to realize that it’s the only thing that truly matters, the love we have for ourselves and others, then only in LOVE can we begin to heal, change the world, and reach enlightenment.
