I went up to Boston this past weekend and had such a lovely time full of six hours of THEATER, the best bakery in the world, boozy BOBA, and best friends! Here’s a GUIDE of what I did/ate/saw.
THEATER
The main reason I went up to Boston is to see Bedlam‘s touring production of both St. Joan and Hamlet in repertory. There were four actors playing all of the parts in both productions! Both productions were 3 hours long, so it was a very fun and long day of 6 hours of sitting in the theater (my dream, lets be honest).
The shows were performing at the Cutler Majestic Theater (part of ArtsEmerson) and was located in the downtown area of the theater district right next to Boston Common. The Boch Center was right down the street. Definitely check this area out to see some live theater!
TATTE BAKERY AND CAFE
This was hands. down. the best bakery/brunch place I have ever been to. I spent all day basically dreaming about it and wishing I could re-eat this meal. This is a very trendy and popular Israeli cafe only located in the Boston area. I was so happy to find an Israeli cafe because I LOVE israeli food – it’s hearty and healthy at the same time.
I got a latte with almond milk, almond croissant, and the jerusalem bagel with two poached eggs inside. It was delicious and kept me full for hours. The ambiance was also so adorable, very clean and filled with eucalyptus plants! I can’t wait to come back here again.
YOGA at the Breathing Room
Whenever I’m in a new city, I love to check out their local yoga studios. It gives me a chance to relax and move my body while I’ve been traveling and exploring, and makes me feel like I’m experiencing the city like a true yogi local.
The Breathing Room Yoga was a really nice and small space. The room only fit 6 people in it, which is definitely the smallest class I’ve ever been to, but made it a really nice and intimate class.
It wasn’t heated, which is my JAM because I very rarely like hot yoga and it only cost $12 for a class including the mat rental (which is great because when I’m traveling I can’t carry my mat with me) Definitely a great price and a long class (an hour and 15 minutes) so check it out if you’re into non-heated, intimate, relaxing classes.

LIFE ALIVE CAFE
After yoga, I immediately popped in next door to this vegan, organic cafe called Life Alive. It was so my style – all organic, all wholesome and all hippie. I got the Golden Sunrise Alive which consisted of turmeric, bananas, maca, mango, and dates. The other menu items looked so good, with lots of warm grain bowls and salad bowls. I will definitely be coming back to try those.
JAHO COFFEE AND WINE BAR
In between shows at the theater, my friend and I wandered around the city searching for a good place to get cocktails. Everything was either too fancy or too overcrowded so we walked for awhile popping in different places, until we finally found Jaho in the middle of Chinatown.
I instantly fell in love with their tea cocktails and the classy but boozy vibe of the whole place. Any place where you can study while drinking wine is a place I definitely want to be.
I got the boozy boba with coconut rum which was so fruity and yummy and my friend got a matcha cocktail made with real matcha tea and whiskey!
I can’t wait to come back to Boston again to explore some more ❤ What places have you been in Boston?
