autumn – a poem

autumn

raindrops covered in

pumpkin flavored leaves

the air is a mix of

velvet vapor

and crisp refreshing apple

tall glass of cold water.

candy colored leaves

crunch like music

and sway in dance

with swirls of steaming

chai tea.

hands fold, arms embrace

knitted sweaters fall to our knees.

for a moment we live

in our orange tinted glasses

and take the first breath of fresh air

we haven’t tasted in months.
