Newport, RI is one of the cutest little beachy New England towns. It reminds me of my home, California, with it’s ocean views, cliffs, and delish food.
The town is rich (literally & figuratively) with history of the world’s social elites during the Gilded Age. Combine that with quintessential New England charm (lobster rolls, yachts, the whole shabang) and you have the cutest little town on Aquidneck Island – Newport, Rhode Island.
Cru Cafe
Cru is one of the breakfast/brunch Newport musts or really any time of day since they serve breakfast all day. They also have a B.Y.O.B policy, so sit outside, eat some avo toast, and enjoy a mimosa!
Newport Mansions
Drive down Bellevue Avenue for a look at some of the most EXTRA mansions known to the United States. I did two of the mansions which you can purchase for $29 or add on 3 more for only $6 more.

The mansions history is fascinating and I had so much fun going on their self-guided tours. It’s truly worth it to get such a unique history on a particular time of the United States. (pre-jazz age)

Empire Tea & Coffee
Tea lattes galore! Such a cute space and delish treats. The perfect spot to study/read/catch up with friends. I got the nutcracker latte which was a rooibos latte with almond syrup & almond milk.
Cliff Walk
This is a gorgeous 3.5 mile walk alongside expansive ocean, the beautiful backyards of some Newport Mansions, and the campus of Salve Regina University.
Ocean Drive
This 10 mile drive around the island and surrounded by amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean literally made me feel like I was back in California cruising on PCH. This is a fun & cheap way to explore more of Newport.
Banner Wharf
This area is full of cute little shops/eateries. You can find artisanal soap companies here like Shore Soap Co, classic New England touristy type shops with sweatshirts, handbags, etc, and some fun treat places like the Cookie Jar and Newport Fudgery (pro tip – stop inside for a free sample. Nothing beats east coast fudge)

Newport Vineyards
If you are into wine, then you can NOT miss Newport Vineyards. And if you love rose, then you can not leave without trying their Bellevue Blush. It is the best rose I’ve ever had. You can do a wine tasting for only $10 and then explore their beautiful vineyard ❤ Go during the summer months for the true experience!
Hope you enjoyed this lil guide to Newport, RI. Have you ever been?
