The universe brings me messages from the clouds.
Every evening, I walk down to the shore to kiss my mother ocean,
feel her body beneath my feet,
and make my prayers of gratitude for her blessings.
She greets me with cotton candy and fiery dancing of reds and yellows,
as day descends into night.
She shows me her creations of beautiful paintings
and brings me gifts of tiny seashells
perfectly shaped
to remind me how I too am perfectly shaped,
for we are both created from the sea.
She answers my questions with rushing waves
and soothes my fears with glowing light
thick brush strokes
that change by the second.
I open my heart and give my thanks
in return
and promise to come back again
tomorrow.
